  • 找工作

            当前找工作最困难的点甚至已经不是找工作本身了，而是如何能够保持一个相对平衡的心态来持续地找工作。因为我已经知道，短时间内是找不到工作的了。和我自己的关系小，和整个招工市场、大环境的关系大。找工找到现在已经过去了四个多月，还不知道接下来还需要持续多长时间。找到一份合适的工作仍然是我的最终目标，只是不知道什么时候才能达到这个目标。

  • Sunshine and Sound

  • A Goodbye to City Life

    Today’s weather is perfect. The sun is out, yet the temperature isn’t too high or too low. There’s a little breeze, and the air is fresh and crisp, accompanied by an early taste of autumn. Officially speaking, autumn isn’t here yet. We need to wait until September 22nd, the autumnal equinox, one of the only two days on which the length of daytime equals that of the nighttime everywhere on earth (the other day is spring equinox). I learned about this in middle-school geography class, and I was impressed enough by this fact of nature that I still remembered it after so many years.

  • Why I Lost Interest in UX Research

    Upon writing down the title of this reflection, I realize it’s not fair to say I’ve “lost interest in UX research” — I don’t really have much interest to begin with. I love research and I enjoy doing research, but UX research is not research. This I was clear of since the very first week of interning at Facebook (the company was still known as “Facebook” then). The kind of research I want to do doesn’t exist in the corporate world. But UX research was – and still is – the closest alternative I could find, so I opted in, thinking at least I could still read and write as part of my daily job.
